TOD Turkey Network Web Portal is Broadcast

Chairman of TASAM   Suleyman Sensoy indicated that due to the effects of cyclical developments and technologic innovation in this increasingly globalized world, it is not possible for countries to separate themselves from such developments. Chairman of TASAM, Suleyman Sensoy stated that; TOD Turkey Communication Network web portal www.todturkey.org, which came into existence with the “Think Tank Organizations Dialogue Of Turkey”  project, where think tanks, scientist, and strategists from all over the world will be able to get together to overcome existing issues and capture new expansions, has gone live today. Şensoy summarized the importance of the project with the following words: “The established communication network will make it possible to closely monitor the political, socio-cultural, and economic developments that occur in both government and civil society level, on a regional and global scale by think tanks, as well as share and evaluate such information, and thus enable the development of current and future constructive dialogues.” Within this context, TOD Turkey, which will precede the formation of such a network, and in turn will ensure the sustainability of information flow in parallel with globalization, targets to prepare the ground for the generation of common projects. The establishment of a communication network was decided in the conclusions document of “Think Tank Turkish Dialogues” project, and “Civilization of Peace” meetings, held at Istanbul and Ankara with the participation of Presidents of think tanks from 24 countries between the dates of 7 – 12 April 2008.
